Designing and launching a new organisation or programme often requires significant on-the-ground leadership and commitment to get thing operational and running smoothly. It also requires on-going, objective analysis to ensure that original objectives are being met both effectively and efficiently, with careful management of stakeholder participation. Efforts are required to ensure that both individual and institutional capacities are aligned with the needs of the programme or project. Kaiser Associates Economic Development has developed the capabilities to plan, support, and monitor the implementation of economic development projects and programmes.
Our services include:
Project and programme development, management, and implementation
Kaiser has provided implementation planning and management for a range of economic areas including tourism, infrastructure, SME support, export promotion, and national branding. In many cases, Kaiser's first step in programme implementation is a strategic review of past and existing activities, and/or conceptualisation to develop new programmes. Following this, clients may require a range of support in areas where they have limited resources or choose not to retain in-house capacity - these may include organisational planning, recruitment, interim management, financial planning, and communications strategy and implementation.
Monitoring and evaluation
Monitoring and ex-post evaluation of economic development projects and programmes is critical not only to ensure that objectives have been met cost effectively, but also as an ongoing learning mechanism. Increasingly monitoring and evaluation of development projects is focusing on participative techniques that involve stakeholders and beneficiaries in programme design and evaluation. Kaiser has experience across both quantitative and qualitative monitoring and evaluation techniques.
