Geography and market access are critical determinants of success in global markets for trade and investment. Whilst countries have little control over their geographical endowment, they have significant scope to facilitate market access through the quality and efficiency of their trade and transport infrastructure and processes. In many developing countries, transport infrastructure remains a critically underinvested, substantially raising the costs of trade both internally and across borders. International donors have recently recognised that this is undermining efforts to promote trade integration, and have pledged to increase investment in critical trade-related infrastructure.
Kaiser has global experience in trade-related transport and logistics projects, including strategic planning, feasibility analysis, and project management. We have a particular expertise in air transport and air freight logistics, an increasingly critical component of today's "just-in-time" global production chains. Kaiser has provided strategy, financial analysis, and project management expertise to a number of major trade and transport infrastructure projects around the world in recent years.
